Iowa Spirit Squad Affinity Group


The Iowa Spirit Squad Affinity Group creates lasting connections between Spirit Squad alumni, current Spirit Squad teams, and the University of Iowa Athletics Department. Past members of the Iowa Cheerleaders, Iowa Dance Team, and former Herky mascots are encouraged to get involved with the Iowa Spirit Squad Alumni Affinity Group. Spirit Members will receive e-newsletter updates and are invited to participate in regional events and reunions.

OUR LEADERSHIP

The Iowa Spirit Squad Alumni Affinity Group will represent the broad diversity of all former Spirit Squad members across class years, geographies, and personal and professional backgrounds.

To serve on the leadership board, you must:

  • Be an exemplar of ideal engagement for our constituents and current students
  • Promote alumni engagement through social, educational, and philanthropic initiatives and programs
  • Attend full board meetings and participate in committees and other board projects between regular meetings
  • Serve a three-year term
